Over two thousand delegates from different Christian churches in Asia
and other continents gathered from August 19-21, 2008 to participate in
the 'historic' and 'very first' Ring of Fire Convergence which was held
in Indonesia. The majority of foreign delegates came from Malaysia,
Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. Delegates from Hong Kong/China,
USA, Australia, Israel, and Canada were very much present. In Fact,
the Jesus Revolution (JREV) USA Team assisted in the pre-conference
mobilization work.
The organization and management of the conference was coordinated by a local church in Indonesia and spearheaded by Jesus Revolution Now Philippines, represented by Ptr. Jerome Ocampo and the JREV Executive Board and staff - part of which were Ptr. Charlie Carino, Cel Carino and Ptr. Ziggie Buksh, who came in as advance parties to set up the event.
The speakers were headlined by Cindy Jacobs, Stacey Campbell, Tommi Femrite, and Jerome Ocampo. Pastors from the Australia, the United States, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia also gave valuable inputs in addressing critical needs in the raising up of firebrands for the end time army that God is building, as well as in escalating the spiritual revolution so that their fire would turn more and more into a blue flame which signifies the purest flame.
Both Cindy Jacobs and Tommi Femrite prophesied about this army (a Joel's Army) called by God to be nation changers/revivalists, winning numerous souls for God's Kingdom. Cindy highlighted the power of HOLINESS - the decision of God's people to sanctify themselves, "setting their faces towards God with prayer and fasting."
Also expressed was the need to reflect God's love and compassion among the ranks; and the grace and ability to be like lambs, gentle and submissive, but can switch into a militant and warrior spirit when facing the enemy and "legislating God's word in the heavens" and pushing back the powers of darkness and toppling down principalities and strongholds.
Cindy Jacobs, on the third and last day of the conference, declared the day to be a day of changing history. God is just waiting for a generation that will decide to walk in holiness and purity; and be vessels to work his wonders and miracles, proclaiming his glory over all the earth. The question is “who wants to?”. For as Stacey Campbell kept on saying: "the Kingdom of God belongs to whosoever will or whosoever wants to!" Most of the messages in this conference referred to this generation as the generation that will bring about a holy revolution. And if we will listen to the resounding cries of this Ring of Fire gathering, indeed THIS could very well be the seed of THAT ARMY that God is raising up to rouse the nations and usher in that great and dreadful day referred to in Joel 2- 3 where “the Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, the earth and sky will tremble” but “everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved”.
