Hundreds of young worshipers around the country gathered last April 8-11 in Baguio for a conference entitled Unashamed to Worship (U2W). Armed with nothing but expectant hearts, they sought God like they never did before. Lives were thrown at the feet of Jesus; hearts were sifted, scoured, and exposed; walls and strongholds were broken down. There was indeed a great moving of God! The Glory of God was ushered through praise and worship and there was an open Heaven pouring out power, anointing, and more and more of God’s grace.
During the first day, Ptr. Arvin Corporal, director of Unashamed Generation International, spoke about the role of the worshiping warriors in the Body of Christ. He said that worshiping warriors should understand and practice corporate prayer, fasting, praise and worship. They should also know the importance of strategic warfare, prophetic worship, and warfare through love which is an invitation by the greatest Lover himself. For the second day, Ptr. Gerry Viray, one of the conference speakers, spoke about the role of worship in the last days and put an emphasis on the Bridal Generation. Other plenary topics include Extravagant Worship, No Worship - No Rain, and Unashamed to Worship. Speakers were Bishop Art Gonzales, Ptr. Jerry Ambi, and Dra. Ruthie Marasigan, respectively.
There were also divided sessions and workshops that focused on the technical side of the ministry. Delegates were trained and mentored so that they can minister to God with excellence in their respective skills and abilities. Workshops on songwriting and composition, drum lesson (styles and techniques), guitar (rhythm and lead), bass guitar (basic groove and technique), keyboard (skills and exercises), dance (Jewish, modern, interpretative, tambourine), and worship leading (vocal coaching) are made available and possible by fellow Christians who have given their lives in this ministry. They imparted what they know and encouraged the young ones to grow with love and passion for the ministry believing that God is calling a new breed of worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
